Ooh, an ouchy take on the line in question! Love it. I think it's really plausible that all of Jack's old resentment towards Jonas came boiling back to the surface when Daniel returned, brought back to renewed life by Daniel's coming back to life.
So much room for interpretation of that line, and Jack's complex enough that anything's possible!
