sg_wonderlandWe lost two space travelers this week: Carmen Argenziano who played Sam's dad Jacob and everyone's favorite Tok'ra Selmak.
Also cavorting among the stars is Opportunity, the rover whose 90-day mission to Mars lasted 15 years. I admit I got a little misty-eyed when I heard the NASA folks talk about him like he was an old friend. I suppose that was how they all thought of him. I think he/she/it/whatever demonstrated that tenacity and hard-headed determination might be a trait that doesn't just belong to living creatures.
Although Carmen will always be remembered for his Stargate role, he did a three-episode arc on House that I adored. I just wish they had kept him on because I imagine that he would have been a perfect foil for House. He wouldn't have been a hero-worshipping resident but someone who could have challenged House and who wouldn't have been bullied about. They missed a golden opportunity there.
So i'm gonna share a couple of Jacob/Selmak related fics I did.
